Whether it was a pencil and paper, disposable camera, compact camera or a DSLR for as long as I can remember I have always wanted to capture the things I see around me.
My passion for photography combined with my love for the natural world has driven me to where I am today.

I am a first year student studying Marine and Natural History Photography at Falmouth University.

I was brought up in Penuwch, a small village in Mid West Wales on a small holding, where have witnessed the farming calendar throughout the years living here. Being given fantastic opportunities such as lambing, keeping goats, ducks, chickens, geese, pigs and horses has all been a part of making me who I am today and has driven my love and inquisitiveness of the natural world.

Studying this course at Falmouth has given me the opportunity to do not only terrestrial photography but also underwater photography, something I never thought I would have the opportunity to do. Being able to explore a whole new world is definitely an experience I would highly reccommend.

My first DSLR was a Sony A200, with a Tamron 70-300mm lens and a Sony 18-75mm which I picked up on Ebay with very little knowledge as to what I was getting my self in to. Little did I know a fantastic new lifestyle was to be discovered, I was able to capture all the things I could see around me and use my creative intuition to create new perspectives on everyday objects.

I have now upgraded to a Nikon D7000 with a Tamron 18-270mm lens and a Nikon 105mm Macro, This camera has been fantastic so far and along with the vast array of equipment available to use at Falmouth University the possibilities are endless.
